Exercise should be Exercised

Working women may not have many opportunities to care for themselves, yet regular exercise is regarded as critical to the health and well-being of those who work eight to twelve hours per day.. According to the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association, exercise is defined as planned, structured, repetitive, and intentional movement. Exercise is also intended to improve or maintain physical fitness. It is basically the intentional movement of our body through different physical activities for the purpose of maintaining good health. It is the involvement of various parts of the body including muscles, and joints which increases the heart rate of a human being resulting in better circulation of blood from mind to toe. It prevents many diseases in the human body. It is basically a habit of being active in life which guarantees success in different walks of life. Exercise is widely acknowledged to play an important role in our everyday lives, but few may wonder why working women require it. It should be understood that human beings present today came through an evolution process. Human ancestors were very healthy because they kept themselves very busy with various activities such as finding food in deserts and forests, making shelters, walking on long routes, etc. Because they were hard workers, their bodies were incredibly powerful. Today’s generation is fortunate in that they have every convenience at their fingertips and do not have to work hard for a living; nonetheless, their health problems continue when they do not move for hours.

Moreover, bodies that remain steady all the time may be more susceptible to disease. Today’s offices are air-conditioned, chairs are comfortable, and computers are available to efficiently execute massive tasks; as a result, the bodies of women working in offices remain consistent at all times. They must make exercise a habit in order to keep their bodies in good form and strength. It is considered essential in preventing different chronic diseases and hypertension. Women working in offices and sitting all day on a chair are very prone to diseases such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and bad postures. Undoubtedly, they earn a lot in offices but on the other side, they lose themselves when they do not make exercise a part of their regular routine.

Adding more to it, women are more physically inactive than men. Men manage to fit physical activities into their routines, while most working women in the United States have no idea where to go for physical activity. The US Department of Health and Human Services says that 80 percent of working people in the US are unaware that physical inactivity besides work is not a sign of a healthy society. Today, many jobs do not require any sort of physical effort through which people earn a lot of money but are unaware of the fact that it may also cause severe diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer, etc. All the time, working women remain stuck in their offices and overburden themselves. However, more physical activities should be included in their daily routine life because it will help them in many ways.

Working women can get rid of stress

According to a research study, In comparison to men, women are more committed to their jobs. They are incredibly dedicated and passionate about their profession, yet they also suffer from job-related stress. They mostly overburden themselves which resultantly makes them less efficient in work and it becomes the root cause of stress and anxiety. This is all because of the lack of physical activities and lack of time and may be gender stereotyping. To maintain their health, women must make time for regular physical activity or work in the home. In this manner, women can evade extraordinary stress and concentrate on their paid and housebound responsibilities.

Creativity in work can be optimized

Similarly, Women are naturally creative and artistic when they are not stressed. They have distinct views about their work and can tackle any problem efficiently. Women who exercise can have more relaxed minds and can confront job-related problems. Their productivity and performance can be improved. Regular exercise can help them focus on their work and keep them active throughout the day. As they keep active, it also increases their decision-making power at work. Both aerobic and anaerobic activities are beneficial. Exercise also helps in developing energies in the human body which can be used for any positive purpose throughout the day.

Exercise can bring optimism

Charles Dickens once said, “If I could not walk far and fast, I think I should just explode and perish.” He is a well-known writer of many famous novels such as ‘A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations’ etc. who also emphasizes the benefits of exercise. He is of the opinion that with exercise comes optimism and creativity. Regular exercise keeps the mind focused and allows people to think positively. Whatever the situation, they maintain their cool and composed nature. Consistent exercise results in enhancing the size of the hippocampus in the brain, which is important for learning and memory. Working women can benefit from exercise to protect their cognitive abilities and use it for good causes.

Prevents Muscle loss and Improves Skin

Typically, women are conscious of the importance of skincare. They want to look radiant. Most working women do not have enough time for it, but it is necessary to mention it here for their understanding that exercise makes their skin glow and maintains the health of their muscles. In this regard, Dr. Katz, a professional therapist in the United States of America also said that “exercise enhances blood flow to your skin.”  On the other hand, according to a study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. “Exercise not only helps us maintain our muscle mass, it can increase it.” Skin and muscles are two essential components of the human body. If they make it their habit, they will not be bound to excessive use of cosmetics for the said purpose.

Eradicating the Chances of Chronic Diseases

Lastly, exercise also eradicates the chances of chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiac arrest, and most prominently diabetes. Work in any capacity is always stressful, especially for women, and stress is the main factor in the development of many chronic illnesses. Medical study has shown that exercise prevents the body’s unhealthy cells and tissues from growing, which lowers the risk of cancer. It also decreases the level of bad cholesterol in the human body, and more significantly it increases the insulin level which controls diabetes. When all these things are under control, women do not become victims of hypertension as well and they age healthy. Therefore, engaging in regular physical activity is essential to preserving good health and preventing the development of chronic diseases.

How working women can adopt a routine with physical activities?

First of all, they should first determine what prevents them from exercising. Is it a lack of time or energy, or something else entirely?

Secondly, thoroughly observe their routine and figure out what kind of physical activity they need to start.

Thirdly, they should select any type of activity they find enjoyable. They can also engage in play with their kids or pets.

Fourthly, they can start from a 30-40-minute daily exercise to make it a routine habit. It can be any activity such as a walk in a park either in the morning or evening.

Fifthly, if they get bored doing physical activities, they can make a family or friends circle to enjoy the activity as well.

Sixthly, during their office hours, they can also take a short break of 10-15 minutes and go outside to get fresh air.

Moreover, on their terrace or lawn, they ought to dance while enjoying their favorite music.

In conclusion, diseases affect working women at a very young age, and they are frequently stressed out due to their jobs. They don’t stay active all day, and over time, their creativity wanes. It is a result of their lack of everyday physical activity. Regular exercise can help working women feel more energized, which will improve their productivity and creativity. Stress, which is the main contributor to chronic diseases, can be eliminated with its assistance. It might also be quite beneficial for keeping skin looking healthy. Additionally, exercise enhances the body’s metabolism and aids in cognitive growth. To maintain a healthy and prosperous life, all working women should make regular exercise a habit.
